SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships will be awarded in the spring of each year and funded for the following fall and spring semester.  The number and value of scholarships to be awarded shall be determined annually by the Board of the Northwest Harris County Texas A&M University Mothers’ Club.  The Board shall make the determination no later than the December Board meeting of each year. 

APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY

Eligible applicants shall include:

1. Full-time undergraduate students currently carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours with a minimum of 12 credit hours remaining to complete an undergraduate degree and
   
2. A minimum of 12 credit hours completed at Texas A&M University at the time of application and
   
3. A minimum overall GPA of 2.75 at Texas A&M University and
   
4. A permanent mailing address in the area covered by the school districts of Aldine, Cypress-Fairbanks, Klein, Magnolia, Spring, Tomball, or any applicant whose Mother is a current member of the Northwest Harris County Texas A&M University Mothers’ Club.
   
5. Students who have not previously received a scholarship from the Northwest Harris County Texas A&M University Mothers’ Club.
   

APPLICATION SUBMISSION

The application form shall be available on the Northwest Harris County Texas A&M University Mothers’ Club website.
 
Policy for application acceptance – Only fully completed applications, postmarked by the deadline date will be considered for review.  A completed application package will include:

1. A completed and signed application cover page – original and 4 copies.
   
2. An application form – original and 4 copies.  A computer generated facsimile will be accepted provided that all information is included in the same format.
   
3. A current copy of the student’s transcript – original and 4 copies.  The transcript may be printed online from the student’s University account.  A University certified transcript is not required.
   
4. An Applicant Statement in 500 words or less – original and 4 copies.
   
5. A letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor or supervisor on their letterhead – original and 4 copies.
   
6. One stamped, self addressed envelope.
